Epic Story Media snaps up global rights to YouTube series Silly Crocodile

Shortform YouTube series Silly Crocodile

Epic Story Media in Canada’s sales arm, Epic Story Media Distribution, has acquired the global distribution rights to animated kids’ shortform YouTube series Silly Crocodile.

Created by Cory Williams, Silly Crocodile is a 3D series that follows a wildly imaginative and lovable crocodile on a journey to discover where he belongs. With the help of his quirky new friends, he learns valuable lessons about friendship, family and being yourself – even when you’re a little different.

Originally launched on YouTube in 2019, Silly Crocodile began as an officially approved user-generated content (UGC) project featuring the Peppa Pig toy line. The character’s popularity then led to the development of original storylines and standalone character arcs, culminating in a fully independent series.

According to Epic Story Media, the Just for Kids YouTube channel, which features over 30 Silly Crocodile videos, has over one billion views.

Williams narrates, animates and produces all of the Silly Crocodile content using Unreal Engine 5, which he immediately publishes to YouTube.

Epic Story Media Distribution will present Silly Crocodile at MipJunior and Mipcom from this weekend.

Epic Story Media’s CEO Ken Faier said: “Silly Crocodile combines vibrant animation, universal themes, and an established global audience. It’s a fantastic opportunity for broadcasters and platforms to connect with a property that’s already proven itself in the digital space.”
