eOne to rep Australian drama series After the Verdict internationally

Subtext Pictures’ drama series After the Verdict

Entertainment One (eOne) has signed on as the international distributor for forthcoming Australian drama series After the Verdict.

The six-part series, produced by Subtext Pictures, is currently in production and will premiere as part of Nine Network’s 2022 slate.

The show is created, written and executive produced by Subtext Pictures’ Ellie Beaumont and Drew Proffitt (House Husbands, Dead Lucky) and tells the story of four people who begin to question their verdict after completing jury duty on a high-profile murder trial.

The project is directed by Ben C Lucas (The Wilds, Fighting Season) and Fadia Abboud, and executive produced by Greg Sitch (Fisk, The Letdown) and Nine Network’s head of drama Andy Ryan.

This marks the first time eOne has partnered with Subtext Pictures to distribute one of its titles internationally. After the Verdict is supported financially by Screen Australia in association with Screen NSW and is expected to create 197 jobs for local cast and crew.
