Under the exclusive multi-year deal, Williams will develop scripted TV projects for broadcast, cable and streaming platforms.

He will work closely with Sharon Hughff, eOne’s UK creative director for scripted TV, who joined the company from Left Bank Pictures earlier this year.

Williams’ recent work includes directing all episodes of ITV limited series The Walk-In, starring Stephen Graham and written by Jeff Pope. Williams is represented by Independent Talent Group and Echo Lake Entertainment.

Hughff  said: “Paul is known for his striking, bold, character-driven dramas. His work is uncompromising, distinctive and always has heart and integrity.”

Recently announced projects from eOne’s UK production arm include Paramount+ original A Gentleman in Moscow, starring Ewan McGregor. The drama series is an adaptation of Amor Towles’ novel of the same name, with eOne producing in association with Viacom International Studios.
