eOne closes AMC, Sundance sales

MIPTV: Independent US production and distribution company Entertainment One (eOne) has scored multiple territory drama sales on the back of its exclusive multi-year output deal with AMC Networks.

The pact sees eOne Television handle international distribution for all original scripted series which air on AMC and the Sundance Channel and includes Turn and Halt and Catch Fire from AMC and The Red Road from Sundance.

Alongside sales of Halt and Catch Fire to Canal+ and Turn to OCS in France, all three dramas have been picked up by pay-TV platform C More in Denmark, Norway, Sweden and Finland; HBO Nordic’s SVoD service in Scandinavia; TV2 in Norway; and Yes in Israel.

Turn premiered on AMC stateside on April 6, and will be followed by Halt and Catch Fire, which debuts on June 1.

The Red Road, meanwhile, will premiere on Sundance Channel Global on April 24, in multiple territories across Europe, North and South America.

The deal also includes continuing series Hell On Wheels, with multiple seasons licenced to Amazon and Watchever in Germany, as well as Now in Russia.

eOne also shares distribution rights to zombie drama The Walking Dead with Fox International Channels, which it has licenced to Media Access in Pakistan, RTL in French-speaking Belgium and TV Peretz in Russia.
