The Rookie: Feds stars Niecy Nash

Disney-owned US network ABC has given a full-season order to its The Rookie spin-off series The Rookie: Feds.

The broadcast net has ordered nine additional episodes of the series, taking the total episode order to 22 for season one.

Entertainment One is the lead studio on the series, which was officially ordered in May and debuted on ABC on September 27.

The show follows Simone Clark (played by Niecy Nash), the oldest rookie in the FBI Academy, as she is assigned to support the LA field office. The character was first introduced in a two-part event episode of The Rookie.

The Rookie creator Alexi Hawley co-created the spin-off series with Terence Paul Winters. Hawley and Winters are also executive producers and co-showrunners, with Mark Gordon, Nathan Fillion, Michelle Chapman and Bill Norcross among the exec other producers.
