eOne extends unscripted TV deal with Mark Ford’s Creature Films

American reality TV series Siesta Key

Entertainment One (eOne) has extended its unscripted TV deal with Mark Ford’s Creature Films, which recently added Pat Lambert as its head of development.

The deal, which began as a first look deal in 2015, has been extended exclusively through to 2024, having produced multiple series so far.

These include: MTV’s Siesta Key, recently renewed for a fifth season; Behind the Music for Paramount+; and upcoming documentary The Lady & the Legend, about Lady Gaga and Tony Bennett, for Paramount+.

The two companies also collaborated on: Amazon’s Mary J Blige’s My Life, Lifetime’s Wendy Williams: What a Mess, BET’s Chronicles, A&E’s Biggie: The Life of Notorious B.I.G. and Biography: Bobby Brown.

The deal comes after 44 Blue Productions’ VP of development Lambert joined Creature Films as its head of development earlier this year.

Lambert started with 44 Blue in 2015 as a talent executive across E!’s Hollywood Medium with Tyler Henry and the launch of the nationally syndicated TD Jakes Show.

At 44 Blue, Lambert was instrumental in the launch of series including TruTV’s Backyard Bar Wars, Snapchat’s Coming Out and the sale of new series and projects to buyers such as HBO Max, Discovery+, Hulu, E!, Bravo, MTV, BET, CW, OWN, TLC, Discovery, History and Lifetime.

As head of talent, he oversaw the development of premium non-scripted and scripted projects with producing partners including Kevin Costner, Viola Davis, Mary J Blige, Priyanka Chopra-Jonas, Jessica Biel, Chloe Grace Moretz and Adam Scott. Lambert began his career as a talent booker on daytime/talk series at NBC, ABC, Fix and E!.

“Our partnership with Mark and the team at Creature Films has created some of eOne’s most long-running and landmark unscripted programming,” said Tara Long, president of global unscripted television for eOne.
