eOne extends Peppa Pig to 2027

Astley Baker Davies is handing Peppa Pig animation duties to Karrot

Producer and distributor Entertainment One (eOne) is producing a further 104 episodes of hit children’s cartoon Peppa Pig, with UK animation studio Karrot taking over creative production duties from Astley Baker Davies.

The new episodes will provide a continuous pipeline of fresh Peppa Pig content until 2027 and take the total number of episodes in the series to 485.

Astley Baker Davies, the creator and original animation studio behind Peppa Pig, is working with eOne to transition creative production duties to Karrot, the prodco behind children’s animated series Sarah & Duck. Andrea Tran will be at the helm as director.

Key talent from Astley Baker Davies will join Karrot in order to maintain continuity of the show, including Phill Hall, who joins as head writer, having co-written numerous episodes of Peppa Pig since 2007. The animation style, music and voice talent for the series will remain unchanged.

Astley Baker Davies founders Neville Astley, Mark Baker and Phil Davies said: “Peppa will always be close to our hearts and we couldn’t be more pleased to be passing the torch to the extraordinarily talented team of artists at Karrot who will continue to deliver our adored Peppa to the world for many years to come.”
