Entwistle takes on BBC4

NEWS BRIEF: The BBC’s head of TV current affairs George Entwistle will be acting controller of BBC4 for six months, as incumbent Janice Hadlow goes on leave.

Entwistle takes the reins from the beginning of May, while Hadlow writes a book on George III and consults on the wider BBC Vision strategy. Hadlow was appointed controller of BBC4 in 2004.
