EndemolShine Boomdog to serve up 24/7 live MasterChef in Mexico

MasterChef México 24/7 debuts on TV Azteca

EndemolShine Boomdog, part of Banijay Americas, is launching a 24/7 live version of MasterChef in Mexico.

The first live version of the culinary competition franchise will include a fully integrated broadcast, a 24-hour, seven-days-a-week stream via Disney+ and a digital ecosystem designed to expand audience access.

Premiering on TV Azteca on May 17, MasterChef México 24/7 will see, for the first time, contestants live, train and compete under one roof in a purpose-built environment. Increasing transparency around the discipline and craft required to succeed, the focus is shifted from observation to skill-based progression.

The new version features continuous live streaming across digital platforms, alongside six days a week of live broadcast programming on TV Azteca. Two-hour primetime episodes air Monday through Friday, with a three-hour Sunday broadcast anchored by the Grand Elimination Challenge.

Digital audiences can follow training sessions, technical instruction, team challenges and judges’ deliberations in real time. Each weekday centres on a defined culinary test, including the MasterChef Mystery Box, technical pressure challenges, team competitions, creativity-focused assignments and a Salvation Challenge.

Frank Scheuermann, chief content officer at EndemolShine Boomdog, said: “MasterChef has sustained global relevance because it evolves without compromising its core. This model expands access to the process while protecting the integrity of the competition as viewers gain greater visibility into mentorship, technique and progression.”
