Endemol Shine rejigs Weit team

Endemol Shine Group has reshuffled the senior leadership of its Russian production company Weit Media following the departure of its long-serving CEO.

Timur Weinstein is leaving Weit to join local broadcaster NTV. He launched the company in 2009 before its purchase by Endemol in 2010.

Weinstein will be replaced by Yulia Sumacheva, who has been with the company since the start and previously worked on local versions of Your Face Sounds Familiar, The Biggest Loser and MasterChef Junior as general producer and later producer-in-chief.

She will continue to be supported in day-to-day operations by chief operating officer Roman Elistraiov.

The move follows the promotion of Marina Williams to oversee Endemol Shine’s operations across Central and Eastern Europe, India, the Middle East and Africa, having previously held the title of CEO of Central and Eastern Europe and MENA.
