Anonymous and Endeavor will serve as co-studios on all projects produced and developed through the deal.

Among the first scripted projects to be produced through the JV is The Lazarus Files, based on the Stephanie Lazarus novel by Matthew McGough. The book follows a cold case murder in Los Angeles, which is unsolved until DNA evidence implicates a female detective within the LAPD’s own ranks.

The partnership will be led by Anonymous Content’s chief content officer David Levine and Joe Hipps, Endeavor Content’s executive VP for television.

The announcement comes four months after Anonymous established a JV with European studio Federation Entertainment. The France-based entity, Anonymous/Federation, is geared toward developing and producing TV and film projects for both French and global markets.

In recent years, Anonymous has also forged partnerships to launch Anonymous Content Nordic, Anonymous Content Brazil and Chapter One in the UK. The company’s TV credits include True Detective for HBO, 13 Reasons Why for Netflix, Dickinson for Apple TV+ and Homecoming for Amazon Prime Video.

The deal also follows Endeavor Content’s recent takeover by South Korea’s CJ ENM, which acquired 80% of the company’s scripted division.

Endeavor Content has more than 30 overall agreements, first-look deals and producer partnerships, including Bruna Papandrea’s Made Up Stories, Layne Eskridge’s POV Entertainment and Kristen Campo’s Campout Productions.

Its recent credits include Severance for Apple TV+, Amy Schumer’s Life & Beth for Hulu and the upcoming drama Tokyo Vice for HBO Max.

Endeavor Content co-CEOs Chris Rice and Graham Taylor said the venture is an “opportunity to ignite creativity with the most revered and innovative writers, directors and performers to develop prestige content.”

Anonymous Content CEO Dawn Olmstead added: “They share our vision to not only push the envelope creatively but to expand the opportunities for our creators, clients and collaborators to bring to life exceptional stories.”
