A broadcaster operating across Europe, the Middle East, Africa (EMEA) and in Russia has acquired UK preschool animated series Boj.

AMC Networks International-owned JimJam has picked up the 52×11′ series for four of its international feeds, meaning it will air in more than 100 countries from July.

The deal for the show was brokered by UK-based distributor Union Media on behalf of its Brighton-based producer Pesky Productions.

The show follows a free-spirited five-year-old bilby (Australian marsupial) who is full of creativity and helps children to make their first friendships outside of their families.

It first aired on CBeebies in the UK and has also been sold to broadcasters including ABC in Australia, RTÉ in Ireland, YLE in Finland, Sprout in the US and France Télévisions.

“Boj is a great fit for JimJam as it incorporates the channel’s core values of friendship, learning and creativity, all whilst having lots of fun,” said Charlotte Wood, senior channel manager at AMC Networks International.
