Elisa Viihde gives life to Man Who Died

Finnish VoD operator Elisa Viihde has commissioned a thriller series titled The Man Who Died, adapted from the book of the same name by Finnish author Antti Tuomainen.

Produced by ReelMedia Oy, The Man Who Died stars Jussi Vatanen as a mushroom entrepreneur who discovers he has been slowly poisoned and sets out to find his would-be murderer.

Written by Brendan Foley (Cold Courage), the show will be directed by Samuli Valkama (Monday, The Three of Us), with the cast also including Saara Kotkanniemi and Sara Soulié.

Filming starts next month in Finland and the six-part series will premiere in autumn 2022.
