Egmont peddles McGuire across Europe and Asia

Egmont Imagination UK has seen its live-action/cgi series Lizzie McGuire picked by a host of broadcasters in Europe and Asia, including BBC, ZDF and France2.

Mediatrade (Italy), RTP (Portugal), Fox Kids (Israel), TG4 (Ireland), YLE (Finland), IBC (Iceland), TVP (Poland), TVN2 (Panama) and M-Net KTV (South Africa) have also picked up broadcast rights to the 43×22' show.

The Xmas shopping spree doesn't end there though: in Asia TV12 Kidscentral (Singapore), TVB (Hong Kong), RTM (Malaysia) and Tooniverse (South Korea) have also acquired the series.

Lizzie McGuire is produced by Stan Rogow Productions in association with Disney Channel, and is co-financed and distributed by Egmont Imagination (outside the US and Canada).

Created by Terry Minsky, the live-action/animation series revolves around the adventures of 13-year-old Lizzie, played by Hilary Duff.

After a MIP-TV deal this year, Disney networks worldwide has an exclusive one-year window on the show, which made its US debut on January 19 to the highest ratings ever for an original series on the channel. The show is also airing terrestrially on ABC.
