NEWS BRIEF: Channel 4 in the UK has commissioned a pilot of a reality series set in Liverpool, produced by Optomen Television for youth-skewing network E4.

Filmed across the summer, It’s a Scouse Life (1×60’) offers an up-close and personal look at the ups and downs of one interwoven group of metropolitan Merseysiders. The programme is executive produced by Rebecca McLaughlin and was commissioned for Channel 4 by Genna Gibson, commissioning editor for reality and entertainment. It will premiere on Tuesday November 13.
