Dutch broadcaster SBS6 renews The Winner Takes It All for second season

SBS6 in the Netherlands has renewed Talpa Studios format The Winner Takes It All midway through the high-energy music competition’s first season.

In the show, 50 singers battle it out on a large LED floor, challenging each other in head-to-head singing duels until one contestant conquers the entire floor and wins €100,000 (US$118,000).

Sebastian van Barneveld, director of global distribution at Talpa Studios, said the early renewal was a “vote of confidence” in the format from SBS6, which launched the show last month. Casting for the upcoming second season has now officially opened.
