Dutch broadcaster AVROTROS picks up culture doc on artist Robert Rauschenberg

Rauschenberg: Everything is Art

Dutch broadcaster AVROTROS has picked up factual titles including doc Rauschenberg: Everything is Art for its culture biography slot, Close Up.

The 1×50′ doc uses interviews and archive footage to shed new light on the life of one of the most influential painters of the last century, Robert Rauschenberg. AVROTROS has also taken Welcome to Babel: Painting Communism, which explores the history of communism through art.

The deal was announced by UK factual distributor TVF International, which also revealed further sales in Benelux.

VPRO in the Netherlands has bought a package of arts titles for its NPO2 Extra brand, including Golden Opulence: A History of Luxury (1×50′) and Mamamoo: Where Are We Now? (4×24′).

Belgium’s DPG Media has licensed multiple titles for its current affairs and documentary slot, VTM1 Telefacts. They include The Ozempic Effect: Beyond the Waistline (1×54′), Childhood Obesity: The Overlooked Pandemic (1×58′) and Stalking: State of Fear (1×54′).

Belgian pay TV network Proximus has taken Fluid: Life Beyond the Binary (1×48′) and Down for Love (5×45′). Finally, Plattelands has taken Planet Soil (1×52′).
