Dubai TV picks up dramedy Audrey’s Back as prodco Pixcom promotes execs

Dramedy series Audrey’s Back

Broadcaster Dubai TV has picked up Montreal-based prodco Pixcom’s dramedy series Audrey’s Back, while the French-Canadian company has promoted members of its team.

Audrey’s Back follows a woman who, after 16 years, wakes up from a coma that resulted from a hit-and-run accident when she was 17 years old.

Dubai TV will broadcast the series in MENA countries including Egypt, Morocco, Tunisia, Yemen, Oman and the UAE. Beta Film distributes Audrey’s Back internationally.

Meanwhile, Pixcom has promoted head of Francophone development François-Étienne Parent to VP of creation and content.

The firm has also upped director of legal affairs Véronique Voyer to VP of legal and business affairs and production manager Marie-Ève Paré to VP of production accounting and financing.
