Drive helps Polar Media to experiment with Giant Science on the Croisette

Giant Science examines projects including CERN’s Large Hadron Collider

MIPCOM: UK prodco Polar Media is working on a four-part factual series called Giant Science featuring the world’s biggest science projects.

The 4×60’ series looks at the European Space Agency, the international fusion research and engineering megaproject, the Cherenkov Telescope Array, the ELT and SKAO telescopes and CERN’s Large Hadron Collider.

UK-based distributor Drive is providing funding for the series and shopping it at Mipcom this week.

Ben Barrett, joint MD of Drive, said: “It’s a privilege to be working with Polar Media and the various organisations involved on this exciting project. This is a rare, truly international project that can really shine a light into the most fascinating parts of human endeavour and achievement, and we are confident broadcasters and audiences around the world will respond to it.”

Joe Kane, creative director at Polar Media, explained: “Audiences will be able to get behind the scenes and meet the ingenious people who have an unstoppable urge to keep pushing boundaries and asking the most fundamental questions about us and our universe, how it works, how we power it and how we explore it.”
