Drama Summit preps for November 21

CONTENT LONDON: As drama continues to internationalise, C21 provides a compelling day of creative and commercial perspective on the scripted entertainment business at The International Drama Summit on November 21.

From analysis of global trends and local flavours to case studies of how stories are being told in new ways, this one-day event – part of Content London 2013 – celebrates the current state and future prospects for international drama.

Sessions include case studies of how The Bridge became The Tunnel, an adaptation masterclass that sees Warner Bros and Sony Pictures Television, among others, share their remake strategies, plus a coproduction session that uncovers the latest trends and a close-up on next generation producers.

There are keynotes from Sky’s Stuart Murphy as he embarks on a significant drama push, and BBC controller of drama commissioning Ben Stephenson, who will outline his plans.

If you are in the drama business this is one day not to miss.

The International Drama Summit is part of Content London, a two-day event featuring three other strands: FutureMedia, The Propaganda Factory and The World Funding Forum. Each is designed for executives working in the international content business to better understand cross-sector opportunities in the ever-changing media and entertainment sector.
