Double drama duty at Universal TV

In the US, Universal Television has restructured its drama division by appointing not one, but two vice-presidents of drama programming, who will jointly run the department.

Elisa Roth, former director of creative affairs at David E Kelley Productions, and Laura Lancaster, Universal's director of drama since 2002, will both oversee Universal's drama development.

{Laura's contribution to the studio has already been invaluable over the past two seasons and Elisa's reputation for great taste and creative skills make her an exciting addition to our team,{ said Universal Television's president, David Kissinger.

Some of the titles Roth and Lancaster will now oversee include The District on CBS and American Dreams on NBC.
