Dori Media to shop Hot’s upcoming Israeli horror-comedy series Soul Sucker internationally

Tel Aviv-headquartered Dori Media Group (DMG) is bringing eight-part Israeli horror-comedy series Soul Sucker to the international market.

Set to premiere on Israeli broadcaster Hot later this year, the series is a modern fairytale about witches and curses among mothers and daughters, inspired by the life of its co-creator and star Bat Hen Sabag.

It is described as a family drama, a horror-comedy and detective mystery with a pinch of gypsy folklore.

Hen Sabag also created the Israeli crime drama Dumb, which was recently remade in Germany as Rampensau.

Soul Sucker was co-created, written and directed by Daphna Levin, whose credits include creating, directing and executive producing the original Israeli version of Euphoria.

DMG, the Nadav Palti-led studio behind series including Losing Alice, Lalola and Rebelde, will bring the project to the international market later this month.
