NEWS BRIEF: European production and distribution group Fremantle has acquired the global sales rights to three-part docudrama Mozart: Rise of a Genius.

Produced by Fremantle’s 72 Films for BBC Two and iPlayer, where it debuts next week, the series provides an in-depth exploration of the life and legacy of Austrian composer Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart through a blend of interviews, re-enactments and live orchestral performances. 72 Films’ CEO David Glover exec produces with Nick Holt and Rob Coldstream.
