Disney’s FX takes comedy Snowflakes to series following success of pilot episode

Snowflakes will air on FX in 2025

Disney-owned cablenet FX has ordered half-hour comedy Snowflakes to series, following its pilot episode earlier this year.

Produced by FX Productions, the first season will premiere in 2025. Snowflakes is created by Ben Kronengold and Rebecca Shaw (The Tonight Show), who wrote the pilot and serve as executive producers with Stefani Robinson (What We Do in the Shadows) and Jonathan Krisel (Portlandia), who also directed the pilot.

Additional exec producers are Nick Kroll, on behalf of his prodco Good at Business, and Good at Business’s president of development and production Alicia Van Couvering.

Snowflakes is described as “a 20-something ensemble comedy following a group of co-dependent housemates trying to be good people, despite being neither ‘good’ nor ‘people’ yet.” It stars Malik Elassal, Lucy Freyer, Jack Innanen, Amita Rao and Owen Thiele.
