Disney+ to launch new ad-supported tier down under

NEWS BRIEF: Disney+ Australia and New Zealand is poised to introduce a new ad-supported subscription plan in the coming months.

Disney announced that it intended to launch the ad-supported tier today but has yet to specify a date or detail intended pricing. The new tier will give Australian and New Zealand audiences three subscription options that include ad-supported, standard and premium. The Walt Disney Company ANZ MD and senior VP, Kylie Watson-Wheeler said the new plan would “provide more choice, flexibility and value to subscribers”.
