Disney+ strikes Miraculous deal

Disney signed a linear TV deal for S4-5 of Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir

Disney+ has acquired all five seasons of Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir through a deal with Zag and Mediawan Group-owned ON Kids & Family.

The service will stream a total of 130×22′ episodes of the animated show and has taken rights in territories excluding Brazil, Korea and China.

The Mouse House has also signed a linear TV deal for seasons four and five of the show on Disney Channel in all markets excluding the US, Brazil, Australia, Canada, Korea and China.

Independent animation studio Zag coproduces the show with ON Kids & Family’s Method Animation alongside Brazil’s Globosat and Italy’s DeAgostini Editore in collaboration with Disney Channel EMEA, TF1 in France and Japan’s Toei Animation.

The action-comedy series follows the adventures of two seemingly typical teens with secret identities, who magically transform into the superheroes Ladybug and Cat Noir.

“Disney has been a key partner in bringing Miraculous Ladybug to audiences everywhere, and we are grateful for their creative support and trust for this next chapter,” said Jeremy Zag, founder and CEO of Zag.
