Disney+ and Andrew ‘Freddie’ Flintoff team up for new documentary film

Disney+ and Andrew ‘Freddie’ Flintoff are teaming up for a new documentary

Disney+ and Andrew ‘Freddie’ Flintoff have teamed up for an as-yet-untitled documentary film with exclusive access to the former international cricketer and presenter.

Produced by South Shore, the 90-minute film will look back at Flintoff’s life and cricketing career that saw him win two Ashes series with England and become a national sporting hero.

It will also look at his life today and return to cricket following his life-altering car crash while filming Top Gear for the BBC in late 2022.

Director John Dower has been granted exclusive access to Flintoff over the last year to film his recovery and document his cricketing career.

It is executive produced by Andrew Mackenzie and Naomi Templeton for South Shore, Flintoff and Sean Doyle, executive director of unscripted at Disney+.

It comes after ITV Studios-backed UK prodco South Shore worked with Flintoff on two seasons of Freddie Flintoff’s Field of Dreams on BBC One.
