Discovery+ preps Melissa McCarthy renovation show

Celebrity IOU aired on Discovery’s HGTV

NEWS BRIEF: US-based SVoD service Discovery+ has greenlit six-part series The Great Giveback with Melissa McCarthy & Jenna Perusich (working title), in which the two cousins embark on making people’s dreams come true through home renovations.

The two previously took on a home makeover challenge in the show Celebrity IOU, which aired on Discovery’s channel HGTV. This latest project is produced by US prodco Scott Brothers Entertainment, with Drew and Jonathan Scott and McCarthy as executive producers.
