Discovery+ partners with singer-songwriter Kesha for paranormal experience

American artist Kesha

Factual SVoD service Discovery+ has partnered with pop singer Kesha to make a supernatural series with the working title of Conjuring Kesha.

The 6×60’ series, due to stream next year, builds on the podcast Kesha and the Creepies, which the LA star presents. Kesha is a long-time believer in the supernatural and even claims to have once had a sexual experience with a ghost.

Kesha will take celebrity guests on trips into the paranormal to satisfy her own curiosity about everything occult, with the show being housed in Discovery+’s Paranormal and Unexplained section.

Kesha will executive produce the show along with Dan Newmark and Ben Newmark of LA prodco Grandma’s House Entertainment.

Jack Rovner and Lagan Sebert of Magic Seed – the New York prodco behind Kesha’s podcast – along with Elaine White are also executive producers. For Discovery+, the executive producer is French Horwitz.

This is the second move into the paranormal sector that Discovery+ has made in a month, after commissioning feature doc The Curse Of The Highgate Vampire (1×60’) from the UK’s Big Little Fish Pictures.
