At Home with the Nolans

Factual broadcaster Discovery has commissioned three new shows for its lifestyle and entertainment channels Quest Red and Food Network in the UK.

At Home with the Nolans and The Hair Loss Clinic will both appear on Quest Red, while Rachel Khoo: A Chocolate Christmas produced by Hungry Gap Productions and Peas in a Pot Ltd will air on Food Network.

Produced by Koska, At Home with the Nolans (working title, 4×60’) will follow the charismatic sisters, who rose to fame as a pop group, in the aftermath of two of them being diagnosed with cancer.

The Hair Loss Clinic (8×60′), produced by Angel Eye Media, will join leading hair transplant surgeon Dr Edward Ball and hair and scalp specialist Eva Proudman as they meet, treat and transform the lives of patients.

Rachel Khoo: A Chocolate Christmas, meanwhile, will see the chef use chocolate to put a twist on some of her favourite Christmas recipes. The hour-long special also follows Khoo as she searches for the ultimate chocolate-lover’s advent calendar and meets a chocolatier in Sweden to make the perfect bar of Christmas chocolate.

Clare Laycock, senior VP, head of lifestyle and entertainment brands at Discovery UK and Ireland, ordered the programmes, which were commissioned by Charlotte Reid, head of commissioning for lifestyle and entertainment at Discovery UK.

Deirdre Dowling and Matt Reid are the commissioning executives for Quest Red and Food Network respectively.
