Discovery Kids finds Where Oliver Fits while SIC, CTC enroll in Hero Elementary

Discovery Kids picked up Where Oliver Fits: A Christmas Eve Tale for Latin America

International buyers have acquired four shows from Canadian kids prodco Portfolio Entertainment, including the first deal for its half-hour Christmas special Where Oliver Fits: A Christmas Eve Tale.

The holiday one-off has been bought by US network Discovery Kids for Latin America, along with the series of shorts Where Oliver Fits (9×2.5’). Oliver is a puzzle piece whose life is taken up with finding out his shape.

Portuguese channel SIC and Russia’s CTC have bought the animated series Hero Elementary (40×30’), made for PBS Kids in the US. The show, aimed at 4-7s, is set in a school for kids with superpowers.

CTC has also renewed its commitment to seasons one to three of The Cat In The Hat Knows A Lot About That! (160×11’) and live-action series Do You Know? seasons one and two (50×15’).

In addition, the Russian channel has bought season four of Do You Know? (25×15’), which educates kids about everyday objects in a fun way and is presented by vlogger Maddie Moate. The fifth season has been bought by Hong Kong network TVB.
