Discovery Kids enrols at Hero Elementary

Hero Elementary was ordered by PBS Kids

Discovery Kids Latin America has acquired all 40 episodes of animated series Hero Elementary from Canadian producer and distributor Portfolio Entertainment.

Portfolio also recently secured sales of the show to Hong Kong network TVB and Canadian channel City Saskatchewan.

Aimed at kids aged 4-7, Hero Elementary (40×22’/80×11’) is set in a school for kids with superpowers.

It is already available on channels including its commissioning broadcaster PBS Kids (US), Discovery (MENA), Minika (Turkey), YLE (Finland) and KAN (Israel). British Columbian channel Knowledge Network and Ontario network TVO hold Canadian rights.

The show originally aired in Canada last summer and will form part of Portfolio’s slate at MipTV.
