Discovery Finland orders adventure reality format Ultimate Escape from Rabbit Films

Ultimate Escape will debut on October 6

Discovery Networks Finland has commissioned an original adventure reality series from Helsinki-based Rabbit Films.

In Ultimate Escape, a host has 24 Hours in which they can make use of 24 clues and 24 phone calls to find and release a celebrity locked in a container at an unknown location. The celebrity has access to information, clues and tips that will help the host find them.

The series will be hosted by Jukka Hildén from Finnish stunt troupe The Dudesons. Each episode will feature a different celebrity locked in the container, including chef Jyrki Sukula, TV host Veronica Verho and actor Minka Kuustonen.

The 8×60’ series will premiere on SVoD service Discovery+ on October 6 and on Discovery Finland’s linear channel TV5 on October 27.

As a part of the deal, Discovery has also negotiated an option for the format for its channels in the Nordics and select European territories.

Ultimate Escape is distributed by Rabbit Films and will be part of the company’s slate at Mipcom in Cannes next month.
