Discovery fills new lifestyle, factual posts

NEWS BRIEF: Discovery Networks UK has promoted VP of production and development Dan Korn to head of factual, and VP of programming Paul Welling to head of lifestyle.

The two roles have been created following the departure of Discovery senior VP of programming Jill Offman, who left earlier this year to become general manager at Paramount Comedy.

Korn will focus on Discovery Channel, Discovery Turbo, Discovery Civilization, Discovery Science and Discovery HD. Welling will oversee Discovery Home & Health, Discovery Travel & Living, Discovery Real Time and Discovery Real Time Extra.
