DIC appoints ex-Disney man for svp post

Ex-Disney animation veteran Eric Lewald (X-Men) has been appointed to the position of senior vp at DIC Entertainment, where he will, together with chief creative officer Mike Maliani, look after the company's creative affairs.

The pair will be responsible for developing new projects, running writing teams and liaising between DIC and broadcasters.

Lewald's career has so far included story editor and producer at Disney Television Animation, Hanna-Barbera and TMS Entertainment.
