DeAPlaneta creates Maya the Bee pop-up channel for Samsung TV Plus, Pluto

The new channel will offer classic and 3D episodes of Maya the Bee

MIPCOM: Spain-based DeAPlaneta Entertainment has unveiled a dedicated pop-up channel for kids’ property Maya the Bee on Samsung TV Plus and Pluto TV in Iberia, Italy and Greece to mark the show’s 50th anniversary.

The channel, unveiled on the first day of Mipcom, will feature episodes from the classic and 3D versions of the series, as well as exclusive content created for the occasion. Alongside the pop-up channel, it has also launched a series of special activities, including designing a commemorative logo.

The company said it plans further surprises to mark the anniversary of the character until spring 2026, which will strengthen and expand the brand and connect those who grew up with the character with new audiences.

DeAPlaneta Entertainment holds rights to the property in Iberia, Italy and Greece, and manages consumer product rights in Central and Eastern European territories.

Elsewhere, Maya the Bee rights are co-owned by Animaj and Studio 100.
