DCD Rights helps BBC Four uncover Hidden Assets in Ireland and Belgium

International crime drama Hidden Assets

BBC Four in the UK has acquired Hidden Assets, a new international crime drama shot in Ireland and Belgium, from DCD Rights.

Hidden Assets (6×52’), starring Angeline Ball, was commissioned by Irish pubcaster RTÉ, AMC-owned streamer Acorn TV and Canada’s Super Channel.

It is produced by Irish prodco Saffron Moon, Montreal-based Facet4 Media and Belgium’s Potemkino.

The series begins with a routine raid led by Emer Berry (Ball), a detective in the Irish Criminal Assets Bureau, which reveals that a small-time drug dealer has been receiving substantial funding from a seemingly untraceable source – not in cash, but in rough diamonds.

The lead director is Thaddeus O’Sullivan with Kadir Balci leading the shoot in Belgium and it is written by Irish Film & Television Awards-nominated screenwriter Peter McKenna and Morna Regan. Wouter Hendrickx and Simone Kirby also star.
