D360 calculates maths deals pre-CMC

Shortform educational series mathXplosion

International broadcasters have licensed more than 220 hours of kids and family content from Canadian sales outfit Distribution 360 (D360).

Germany-based Da Vinci Media has picked up shortform educational series mathXplosion (50×3′) for its pay TV feeds in CEE, Africa, the Middle East and Turkey.

The show, which is produced by GAPC Entertainment, has also been sold to Hop! Media Group in Israel and AB Groupe for French-speaking Europe & Africa plus Israel and Turkey.

The latter broadcaster has also taken The Prime Radicals (52×15′), another mathematics-based series produced by GAPC Entertainment.

Elsewhere, Hop! has taken seasons one and two of The Mystery Files (26×30′), produced by Montreal-based Apartment 11, and ABC in Australia has acquired Japanizi: Going, Going, Gong! (40×30′), produced by D360 owner Marblemedia.

The deals come ahead of the Children’s Media Conference (CMC) in Sheffield, UK, this week, which D360 will be attending.

“We’ll be attending CMC to pitch new development and [will be] on the hunt for more internationally appealing titles as we continue to grow our kids and family business,” said Diane Rankin, senior VP for international at D360.
