D-rights’ Beyblade bursts into Europe

European children’s channels including Nickelodeon in Belgium have picked up the first season of an anime show from US distributor Sunrights.

Beyblade Burst was picked up by Netflix globally

Beyblade Burst was created by d-rights in Japan and produced by Tokyo’s OLM for Disney XD in the US in 2016. Nickelodeon has licensed the first season of 51 episodes, which it will begin airing on March 12 in French, with five new episodes broadcast each week.

Medialaan-owned children’s entertainment channel Kadet in Belgium and RTL7’s BOZ entertainment platform in the Netherlands have acquired episodes 27 to 51 of S1. The other episodes from the season will begin airing on Kadet in April and started airing on BOZ on February 18.

Beyblade Burst premiered recently on Netflix globally. The show has been licensed by Sunrights to platforms in Canada (Teletoon, Disney XD), Latin America (Cartoon Network Latin America), Germany (Nickelodeon), Australia (Channel Go!), New Zealand (TVNZ), France (Canal J, Gulli), Spain (Boing), Portugal (Biggs), Greece (Star) and Turkey (Cartoon Network), among others.
