Cyber Group Studios takes majority stake in UK animation firm A Productions

A Productions MDs Mark Taylor and Katherine McQueen

French producer and distributor Cyber Group Studios has taken a majority stake in Bristol-based animation studio A Productions.

Under the partnership, the two studios will develop content for audiences across Europe and the rest of the world, including new kids’ animated series Digital Girl, which will begin production this year.

In addition, A Productions will invest in developing its own original content through its development arm, alongside its creative-led service work.

Founded in 1985, A Productions is led by joint MDs Katherine McQueen and founder Mark Taylor. The studio’s credits include JoJo & Gran Gran and Love Monster for CBeebies and Furry Friends Forever: Elmo Gets a Puppy for Sesame Workshop.

Cyber Group Studios launched in Paris in 2005 and has further hubs in Singapore and LA. It is helmed by Pierre Sissmann, chairman and CEO, and Dominique Bourse, chief operating officer.
