Curtain to rise on stand-up brand Hulu’s Laughing Now

NEWS BRIEF: Disney-owned US streamer Hulu will launch a stand-up comedy brand called Hulu’s Laughing Now in November.

Comedian Jim Gaffigan will be the first to host a stand-up special under the brand, with his show The Skinny, which will screen on Disney+ outside the US. Hulu’s Laughing Now will feature 12 comedy specials per year, adding one new comic per month. The streamer will also launch a curated collection of licensed stand-up events ranging from iconic comedy specials to recent releases from 800 Pound Gorilla and Comedy Dynamics.
