Croatia’s HRT among European broadcasters buying content from ZDF Studios

Croatian pubcaster HRT has picked up whodunit drama series Queens of Mystery and police procedural London Kills from German distributor ZDF Studios.

ZDF has also struck a volume deal with Hungarian broadcaster TV2 for 1,000 hours of content over four years, while Poland’s Romance TV, Bulgaria’s Nova TV and All Media Baltics have also signed output agreements over multiple years.

In addition, NovaTV in Croatia and the Czech Republic has taken crime and family shows from ZDF; Hungary’s MTVA has taken rights to Nordic noir hit The Bridge, Spanish historical drama Boundless and medical series Dr Ballouz; Poland’s Canal+ has acquired Chain Reaction; and Rustavi 2 in Georgia has bought a range of content.
