CreativeChaos to adapt Polish memoir This Is War as four-part docuseries

New York-based production company CreativeChaos has picked up the rights to Polish author and activist Klementyna Suchanow’s non-fiction book This Is War: Women, Fundamentalists and the New Middle Ages.

Klementyna Suchanow

The bestselling memoir follows Suchanow as she works with a network of investigative journalists to expose a “fundamentalist global effort to destroy human rights” that it argues is “turning the world’s democracies dangerously into authoritarian regimes.”

It is being adapted as a four-part docuseries by CreativeChaos co-founders Tom Donahue and Ilan Arboleda.

The production company heads are executive producing the project alongside co-creator Jan Swietlik, with Suchanow penning the script.

Recent productions from CreativeChaos include four-part docuseries The Murder of God’s Banker and upcoming docuseries Mafia Spies, both for Paramount+. Other recently announced projects include climate activism documentary This Is Planet Z and a doc with Geena Davies exploring inequality and underrepresentation of female and First Nations storytellers in the Canadian media industry.
