The cohort comprises companies from across the UK’s screen sector, including film, TV, games, animation, immersive and creative technology.

Over the next six months, the businesses will receive mentorship, workshops, personalised guidance on investment strategies and direct access to investors active in the creative space.

The team behind Pop Paper City, the animated kids’ TV series that has aired in 178 territories, led by Georgina Hurcombe and George Caton-Coult, are among those to have received investment.

The companies also include horror film-focused prodco Altt Productions; Amazing History Enterprises, a prodco aimed at honouring veterans through history content; wildlife-focused toy and animation company Animazing Toys; tech education company Flip Computing; and AI-driven interactive ‘immersive tickets’ company Immersiv.es.

Also selected are interactive studio Megaverse; media platform MotionHub, which provides content creators with storage, transcription and other services; female-focused games studio Go Girl Games; streaming app Tellygence TV, founded by Rahul Patil; and IP matchmaking platform My Smash Media, which aims to expose new talent to the marketplace.

Kate Sanders, senior programme manager at Creative Enterprise, said: “We’re proud to support such ambitious and innovative screen businesses through the Investment Readiness Programme. Being part of their growth journey is a privilege, especially at a time when navigating the investment landscape is more complex and crucial than ever.”
