Country Doctor, Coastal Police top Red Arrow Studios slate for London trip

Filmpool’s The Country Doctor is set in a Bavarian village

German dramas The Country Doctor and Coastal Police are headlining Red Arrow Studios International’s London Screenings slate next week.

Produced by Filmpool, The Country Doctor (60×30’) centres on a female doctor and her teenage daughter in a Bavarian village. Coastal Police (80×30’), meanwhile, is produced by Pyjama Pictures and follows a detective in a small coastal town. Both series are produced for Germany’s Sat.1 and streamer Joyn.

Also on Red Arrow’s scripted slate are three dramas from Finnish prodco Yellow Film & TV. Forgiven (4×60’) is based on Laura Manninen’s novel Kaikki Anteeksi and was commissioned by streamer Elisa Viihde, along with seasons one and two of legal drama The Laws of Man (16×60’). A third season of The Laws of Man has been greenlit.

Yellow Film & TV’s Finnish drama Forgiven

Produced for pubcaster YLE is crime drama 66 North Precinct (8×60’), which follows an ex-world champion boxer turned detective inspector as she solves cases in Lapland. A second season is in the works.

On Red Arrow’s formats slate is adventure series Reality Backpackers, created by Cheerio Entertainment for Joyn, which sends reality stars into the wilderness. It joins season 11 of Married at First Sight Australia (38×90’), produced by Endemol Shine Australia for Nine Network.
