Cookbook Media gets distribution rights to YouTube brand ChuChu TV content

Cookbook Media will be representing ChuChu TV at Mipcom

Cookbook Media, a New York-based franchise agency specialising in content distribution and consumer products, has picked up the rights to distribute preschool YouTube brand ChuChu TV’s content across North America.

As well as content sales, Cookbook Media will also oversee publishing, toys, consumer products, live entertainment, gaming and digital products for the brand.

Founded in India in 2013, ChuChu TV started as a channel offering nursery rhymes and animated songs. It has since expanded to multiple channels with over 175 million subscribers.

Cookbook Media will expand the brand to new mediums, aiming to unlock new revenue opportunities across multiple platforms, including distributing its content library and new releases to additional broadcast, streaming and AVoD platforms.

It will also develop new business opportunities across consumer products, brand collaborations, retail partnerships, experiential venues and other franchise partners in North America, while laying the foundation for expansion into additional international markets.

Cookbook Media will represent ChuChu TV at Mipcom next month.
