Constantin veteran Issendorff exits

Christoph von Issendorff, the long-serving head of international at German prodco Constantin Entertainment, is leaving after 18 years to focus on new projects.

As senior VP for international business development, von Issendorff was MD of Constantin’s international subsidiaries.

Under von Issendorff and his team, Constantin Entertainment’s international business embarked on projects including adaptations of Ninja Warrior in Austria and Hungary, MasterChef in the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Bulgaria, The Voice in Switzerland and Israel, and Kitchen Nightmares in eight territories.

Von Issendorff was responsible for in-house TV productions as well as licensing, coproductions, project development and consulting in Abu Dhabi, China, Spain, France and other counties.

He said: “It’s time for new adventures. At Constantin, I had great opportunities to explore international markets, secure partnerships and produce quality TV in 20 countries. It has been my privilege to work with amazing colleagues around the world.”

Otto Steiner, MD at Constantin Entertainment, added: “Christoph was instrumental in shaping our company’s success abroad over the past 18 years. We are grateful for his extraordinary dedication and wish him well in his future endeavours.”

Von Issendorff has hinted that his next move may come outside television, adding: “Our industry is not the only one that relies on international development as a core business activity. I’m looking forward to bringing my knowledge and professional network to exciting forthcoming projects.”
