Connected Set hires development head

UK indie The Connected Set has hired Knickerbockerglory’s head of development to lead the growth of its programme slate.

Ash Greenwood

Ash Greenwood has joined youth-focused The Connected Set as head of development after five years at Knickerbockerglory, where he was promoted to his most recent role in January 2019.

The Connected Set’s slate includes the BBC3 series Beauty Laid Bare, Porn Laid Bare, Face the Consequences and documentaries with presenters Stacey Dooley and Ellie Flynn.

It is also behind the YouTube channel Mashed for Channel 4, which counts two million subscribers.

At Knickerbockerglory, Greenwood helped shape formats including Strictly Street Dance for Channel 4 and Channel 5’s Mind The Age Gap and had production stints on E4’s Stage School and Channel 5’s Celebs In Therapy.

The Connected Set is currently working on paid development projects and productions with Facebook Watch, MTV, Bravo, Channel 4 and Snapchat Discover while continuing its work with BBC3.

The Connected Set’s creative director, Jason Mitchell, said: “Ash authentically embodies the audience our shows aspire to speak to: young, curious, smart and a refreshingly original thinker.”
