Colors show sees BBC Studios Productions India move into continuing drama  

Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak stars Karamm Rajpal and Trupti Mishra

Viacom18-owned pay TV channel Colors has launched a romance comedy from BBC Studios Productions India, marking the latter’s expansion into continuing drama.

Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak, based on the novel November Rain by Mrinal and Abhigyan Jha, stars Karamm Rajpal and Trupti Mishra and follows the love story of a medical student from the city and a resilient village girl.

Other titles produced by BBC Studios Productions India include dramas School of Lies (Disney+ Hotstar) and Expressway Ishk (Amazon Mini TV) and formats such as the local version of Dancing with the Stars.

“Our latest offering, Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak, signifies an exciting chapter for BBC Studios Productions India, contributing to our collection of premium scripted dramas and breaking in to continuing drama,” said Sameer Gogate, general manager of BBC Studios India.
