YouTube live-action spin-off to centre on Ms Appleberry from Moonbug’s CoComelon

Melon Patch Classroom features the character Ms Appleberry from CoComelon

Moonbug Entertainment’s preschool animated hit CoComelon is getting its first live-action spin-off in the form of Melon Patch Classroom, a YouTube series following the character of teacher Ms Appleberry.

The company has not yet given details about the show, including who will play the main character and when it will launch, but said a trailer and premiere date will be announced soon.

Ms Appleberry was first introduced in 2019 and has since gone on to become one of the franchise’s most popular characters. The first episode featuring her has racked up more than one billion views on YouTube.

The CoComelon YouTube channel, titled CoComelon – Nursery Rhymes, has more than 180 million subscribers. Its videos have been viewed more than 186 billion times in total on the Google-owned platform, while it is also a top performer for streaming platforms including Netflix.
